Boost Tallinner's creativity
Process overview

We walked around Tallinn and asked strangers to talk to us about their thoughts on creativity. We were interested to know what they did for fun, problem solving and as a profession.

We identified that residents from Tallinn are talented, passionate, humorous and creative.

From a bench with hot tap water to fill your bottle to a VR experience, we came up with many ideas but ultimately landed on our Word Box.

First we tested our collaborative chain idea with lines instead of words. The first to try it were our fellow classmates. After that we decided to go with words instead.
We built our prototype out of a pizza box and went out to the streets of Tallinn once again to test it on any willing stranger.
Design principles
The question we kept coming back to
How might we provide Tallinners with an outside opportunity to share their creativity through a small task?
Prototype testing
Some of them liked the idea of writing along with a friend.
Took them between 3-5 min to complete the task.
Overall positive reactive emotions.
People were interested to receive the story via email.
Loved the form factor of a “computer”.
Got invested into writing (committed time and focus).
